Newmark Grubb Zimmer Renews 1,107,000 SF Lease in South Johnson County

Kansas City, MO Newmark Grubb Zimmer has completed a lease renewal for a 1,107,000 square foot Class-A industrial distribution center located in Gardner, Kansas. Situated on 25 acres — room for 20 football fields, the property is just north of Interstate 35 and 175th Street.

Newmark Grubb Zimmer’s Executive Managing Director and Principal Mark C. Long and Managing Director John F. Hassler represented the owner Gramercy Property Trust Inc.

Located at 17150 Mercury Street, the property is occupied by The Coleman Company, Inc. Built in 2009 as part of the Midwest Commerce Center, the distribution warehouse features a single-story tilt-up structure, 32-foot clear height ceilings, 100 dock doors and parking for 300 trailers.

“The facility represents one of the largest industrial distribution buildings in the Midwest and the retention of the tenant is another indication of Kansas City’s strategic industrial location,” said Hassler.
